Golden Half Moons

FLORAEVER has captured wildflowers foraged on the coastlines of Vancouver Island, Canada. The delicate arrangement of florals was meticulously placed by Floraever artist Taeja Ellerbeck, who responsibly harvested the flowers from the wild. Each and every specimen is preserved inside many fine layers of jewelry-grade resin and has been dried over many weeks to retain their colour and details.

These earrings feature real Alyssum and Queen Anne's Lace blossoms, encapsulated in a framework that creates tiny windows into a secret garden.  The half-moon circle dangles are made with local BC Alder wood that is hand-sanded multiple times to achieve its smooth surface.  She then applies many layers of stain and finishes with natural beeswax to protect the wood from the elements.

Although the jewelry is waterproof, I recommend avoiding exposure to water whenever possible, as well as oils, chemicals & perfumes.  If the brass begins to tarnish, use a jewelry cleaning wipe on the metal areas only.  To clean smudges off the resin, use a microfiber lens cloth or a non-abrasive cloth with clear soap and water and carefully pat to dry.  Store your jewelry in a safe place away from extreme heat and direct sunlight.
